Candling Lamps

The most basic and essential tool for anyone incubating eggs is a candling lamp. With this you can not only confirm that the egg is fertile and developing but you can also monitor the size of the air-space and thus gauge approximately whether your egg is 'on-track' to hatch with the greatest chance of success. You're aiming for an air-space which fills roughly the top third of the egg by the time it reaches 'internal pipping' stage.
